Hello! I'm Nick Strawn, a dedicated occupational therapist with a passion for helping children thrive. With a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree obtained in 2019, I have been honing my skills and expertise in sensory processing, picky eating, social skills, and fine and gross motor coordination. My approach to occupational therapy revolves around empowering parents and establishing a strong partnership throughout the therapeutic journey. I find that incorporating a nature-based setting enhances the therapeutic experience and becomes a valuable modality in itself. Using a child-led approach, I tailor my treatment plans to suit each child's unique needs, goals, and interests. By providing a nurturing and supportive environment, I aim to facilitate their progress and help them reach their full potential. Working with pediatric clients, my ultimate goal is to meet families where they are at and offer a distinctive approach to address challenges and promote healthy development in children.
On a personal note, I am married and a proud father of two boys. I deeply value family time and enjoy creating lasting memories with my loved ones. We recently had the opportunity to explore the wonders of Yellowstone National Park, immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature. Board games and inching our way toward homesteading are also cherished activities we enjoy together.
Through my personal experiences and ongoing professional development, I gain valuable insights into children's development and well-being. I believe in fostering a collaborative and inclusive approach, involving both the child and their family in the therapy process. I look forward to partnering with you and your child to create a positive and transformative therapeutic experience. Let's work together to unlock their potential and foster their well-being.
